The Cornish Defence Force or the CDF is the Republic of Cornwall's armed forces. It encompasses the Army, Air Corps and the Naval Service along with the Reserve Defence Forces of which only comprises of a Naval Service reserve and Army reserve.
The supreme commander of the Defence Forces is the President of Cornwall.
History
The Cornish Defence Force was established by Republic of Ireland on the 4th of August 2024 during the Reclamation war and the Great split which saw the United Kingdom devolve and break apart with England failing to recapture the leaving states, Cornwall being one of these states that left the Kingdom.
Originally, the Defence Force was under the direct control and command of the Irish Defence Forces and gained funding/supply from them until the 30th of September when the Reclamation war ended and Cornish independence was Recognised by England. This resulted in the entirety of Cornish doctrine, equipment, structure and strategy being based on the Irish system.
As a result the two nations since the Reclamation war have had numerous co-deployments, exercises and trainings.
