The Mexican Annexation of South Texas was an event that took place on the 25th of February where Mexico would announce the occupation of South Texas[1]. The annexation was for the most part bloodless and did not result in a single death.
The Texan Response
Texas responded that they would take action against all and any foreign threats within their territories, as stated by the Texan leader "The Republic of Texas, acting in defense of its territorial integrity and the safety of its citizens, hereby issues a solemn warning to any entity considering an incursion into its territory.". Additionally, Texas would warn that they will bring in their attack aircraft too handle the situation[2].
- ↑ By south Texas we are referring to the geographical position and not the territories of Texas who did not control the area at the time.
