The Rathlin Coast Guard is the coastal defence unit of the island of Rathlin. It is a part of the Corkonian Coast Guard (which is a part of the Corkonian Defence Forces) under the Donegal Coast Guard. Currently it's vacant of command.
Organisation
The Rathlin Coastguard consists of an airwing and vessel task force.
The Air Wing
The airwing consists of 3 Cirrus SR-22 aircraft and 2 EC-135 helicopters, of which both are unarmed. The Rathlin coast guard consists of 12 pilots, one of which being the Chief Pilot Officer (CPO) who essentially leads and trains all other pilots.
Warrant Officer
There is one Warrant Officer that acts as the chief enlisted advisor to the Lieutenant in command of the island.
Installations
The Rathlin Coast Guard has three detachments on the Island, the Danstown detachment, Airstrip detachment and Ulster dockyard detachment. The Airstrip and Dockyard detachments are commanded by Lieutenant who serve as the primary command and co-led by a Petty Officer.
