The Troubles in Northern Celtia, often referred to as "The 2nd Troubles", or "The Celtic Troubles", is an umbrella term for a variety of conflicts taking place mainly in the North of the island of Ireland, on ethnic, religious, and nationalist grounds.
Parties involved
Paramilitary
Corkonian, Irish, and British paramilitaries are involved in the conflicts.
Corkonian
The Corkonian paramilitaries (which are seperate and unrelated to the Kingdom of Corcaigh) wish to secure the safety and traditions of Corkonian people living in the provincd of Ulster in the Celtic Union, they also seek to unite with the Kingdom of Corcaigh.
These groups, which originally were unorganised groups of Corkonian civilians, taking part in small scale violence, worked with Irish nationalists against Celtic troops, but shortly after this tensions between the 2 rose, leading to conflict between them.
They engage in combat actively against Celtic security forces, mainly via petrol bomb and gun attacks.
They also carry out secterian attacks against Celtic majority neighbourhoods, and seek to defend their own communites from Celtic retaliation.
The Corkonian paramilitary groups active in the conflict are listed below:
- Corkonian Volunteer Force
Irish
The Irish paramilitaries seek Irish independence from the Celtic Union, and the kingdom of Corcaigh.
They are the most numerous, well armed, and well manned paramilitaries in the conflict, this is partly due to Celtic government collusion with the groups.
Many of these groups have existed since the late 1960s, but many formed / reformed around 2021.
These groups carry out (usually) well planned attacks against Celtic and Corkonian security forces. Making use of homemade mortars, petrol bombs, grenades, assault rifles, light and heavy machine guns, pistols, submachine guns, mortarbombs, mines, car bombs, and other explosives.
These groups have been known to take part in, and organise sectarian attacks against Corkonian civilians, and also defend Irish neighbourhoods from Corkonian retaliation.
The active Irish paramilitaries are listed below:
- The Provisional Irish Republican Army
- The Official Irish Republican Army
- The Real Irish Republican Army (inactive
- The Republican Volunteer Organisation
