The Royal Cork Rifles was a proposed infantry regiment of the Corkonian army that would comprise of three battalions[2]

Conception

The idea was that all Provinces would have one infantry regiment, the Royal Cork Rifles would encompass all infantry for Munster, and such the Royal Limerick Cavarly would encompass all Cavarly for Munster, this was the beginning of the Cork Regimental System.
