The 1st Battalion is an infantry based battalion within the King's brigade, it belongs to the Royal Welsh Guards.

Structure
As the battalion is Welsh based all companies and units are named after Brythonic Celtic gods. Such as the Arawn Company, Arawn being the God of death in Welsh mythology.
The battalion itself is infantry based and contains three light infantry companies, one of which being motorized infantry. The layout is as goes:
