The Portuguese Army is the main land component of the Portuguese Armed Forces....

History

The Portuguese Army is the land component of the Armed Forces of Portugal and is also its largest branch. It is charged with the defence of Portugal, in co-operation with other branches of the Armed Forces. The army started on the 25/03/2024 and is growing massively to this day.

Organisation

The Commandos (Portuguese: Comandos) are a special forces unit in the Portuguese Army. Presently, their parent unit is the Commando Regiment (Regimento de Comandos).

De Comandos

It started in 25th March 2024 (the same day the main group was made)

It has 6 total active personnel and an additional 2 reserves.

This is the Portuguese armies elite force which fights in the land sea and beaches.

It's an operational Unit and is the finest force in the Portuguese army

Their motto is Audaces Fortuna Juvat (Latin for "Fortune Favors the Bold") and their war cry is Mama Sumae (it can be translated as "here we are, ready for the sacrifice" – taken from a Bantu tribe of southern Angola).
