The Royal Corkonian Army or the Corkonian Army is the main component of the Royal Corkonian Armed Forces, it comprises of the land troops. The army has been extensively deployed both home and abroad ever since its creation in 2020.

History

The War Of Independence

The army didn't exactly exist in the war of independence. It was mainly a militia at that point and time, there was no existing rank structure and there were only two leaders who held any real command. The term "Cork Army" was mainly used to name this militia however wasn't a true army.

The Invasion of the Coral Sea Islands'

Main Article: 1st Crusade
The invasion of the Coral Sea islands was to date the biggest war in RoNation's entire history (written 19th jan). It involved a coalition of more than 8 different countries in a combined crusade to eliminate the "Gay and Lesbian Kingdom of the Coral Sea Islands"

The ranks and insignias of the Corkonian army are based around the real life Irish and British armies. The ranks have gone through a lot of changes over the years, however with the Corkonian Army 2024 Re-Organisation Act they were permanently fixed.

  1. The rank of Marshal is reserved only for the King.
  2. The rank of Captain General is only used in some regiments, like marines and paras.
  3. The rank is fully known as "Brigadier" and is not considered a general officer.
  4. Senior Captain is only used in some specific units (of which those units do not use Commondant).
  5. One Warrant Officer Class One is reserved as the Sergeant Major of the Army (which used to be its own rank for a long time)
  6. Company Quarter Master Sergeant is essentially a Sergeant Major.
  7. Cork does not use the rank of Lance Corporal, though it used too. This was changed too be more aligned with the Irish ranks.
