Security Council
The Security Council is charged with maintaining peace and security amongst nations. While other bodies of the UN can only make recommendations to member states, the Security Council has the power to make binding decisions that member states have agreed to carry out, under the terms of joining the UN. The decisions of the council are known as United Nations Security Council resolutions.
The Security Council is made up of fifteen member states which are routinely voted on every month. Of the fifteen Security Council states, five are elected as administrative states that overlook the entirety of the Security Council.
Membership

The United Nations is made up of states, disputed or undisputed all nations are allowed to be admitted to the UN. All members within the UN are treated equally and given equal power. No one nation may rule the UN and no nation may dictate it. The UN is a council made up of individual states that collectively vote and discuss on world issues.
