The Celtic airborne invasion of Serbia was an airmobile operation undertaken by the airborne troops of the Celtic union, operating under a Celtic marines taskforce, including the 1st Special Operations aviation squadron "Dipshit", the North Tipperary volunteer battalion, and the "Alpha" Directorate of the Army Ranger Wing. Danish troops were also present, under the guise of the ARW.

It began on the 16th of February 2024, and is currently ongoing.

Background

The invasion was preceded by the Celtic bombing of Belgrade, which took place the previous night. The Celtic Government issued an ultimatum to Serbia after this, which was promptly ignored.

The war was a cause of Serbian support for the Texan incursion[1] of Europe, and their subsequent declaration of war on Austris. This prompted the Celtic Union to declare war.

The invasion

At 4pm on Thursday, the 16th of February 2024 Celtic helicopters poured over the Serbian border, and landed at key targets in the south and north of the country, (notably southern Belgrade). Stiff and instant resistance was met in the urban outskirts of Belgrade, but there was a lesser and much delayed response in the mountainous regions around Belgrade.

Initial landing

Celtic Huey helicopters landed Danish troops in the mountainous areas around Belgrade, and their own airborne troops in a small town just to the west of Belgrade. This initial Celtic airborne detachment was almost completely wiped out, spare 3 soldiers who retreated into the trees and requested CAS, the 1st Special Operations aviation squadron responded to this request, making multiple rocket runs over Serbian positions in the village, and raining down 50cal machine gun fire, this helicopter then landed reinforcements which took and fortified the town, there was minimal skirmishing and control of this town was back and forth.
