Founding of Denmark as we now know it
After many years of not very successful minister presidencies, Elias_1604 decided to run for minister president. Through many of his election promises (which were even kept), Elias_1604 succeeded in becoming Prime Minister. He revamped the military, strengthened the economy and ensured good friendships with other states.
Good friendship with Tipperarry
Denmark has had a long running alliance with Tipperary (now known as the Celtic Union), this alliance stems back to the creation of the Shield of Nations. Denmark has been involved in numerous wars alongside the Celtic Union including:
- The 1st Crusade
- The 1st Cork-Celtic War
- The 2nd Cork-Celtic War
- The 3rd Cork-Celtic War
- The 2nd Anglo-Celtic War
However, there has been times where it has decided to be neutral such as in the 1st incursion and in the Serb-Croat war of 2023. The alliance hasn't stopped at military, Denmark and the Celtic Union have had a history of trade and technology sharing.
The Icelandic-Greenland Question
Iceland and Greenland for the most part have been untouched by world powers. However when the Finnish Commonwealth laid claims to both Denmark opposed, stating Greenland is a core part of Danish territory and a historical land mass of Denmark. Debate went on however both sides were able to sign a treaty that stated Iceland belongs to the Finnish Commonwealth and Greenland belongs to Denmark, additionally the Faroe Islands, specifically the north island was to stay Danish.
The 1st Crusade

Denmark had large participation in the 1st Crusade, it send airborne teams and marines along with leopard tanks. The Danes were part of army group support and so started the initial naval invasion. The Danes did deploy a formidable force to the Crusade and was one of the main participants.
Denmark joined the crusade as they were an ally with the Celtic Union and it was a strategic move to keep relations good and to continue putting Denmark as a world power, by intervening in global affairs Denmark was able to establish itself as a world power and demonstrate military strength. It at the time had the largest standing army just slightly bigger than Cork's and had some of the most well equipped and trained troops. Regularly being deployed with nvgs, hk416s and MG5s the Danes were able to lay down military firepower upon Coral Sea troops.
It is unknown how many Danes died during the 1st Crusade, some estimate to be around 8-11. The Danes were a large part of the invasion force.
The Croat-Serb War of 2023

Denmark is most notorious in this war for the sending of medics to help both sides, this was the first ever use of international medics in a war in RoNations. The Danish additionally reported on war crimes and excessive use of force in the war, notably the critique of Croat coalition's consistent bombardment of non-combat troops. Multiple Danish medics were wounded and/or killed in this war however it would still stand as the first ever instance of a nation sending oversees medics.
